Announcing the CIS Controls Course

Happy Holidays, and a New Course

Hey everyone, I just wanted to send out a quick note about the new course on CIS Controls, and to extend a Holiday discount on all of the ITProMentor.com courses in honor of the whole Black Friday/Cyber Monday thing. So, let’s get that out of the way first:

Now through the end of the month, you can use this discount code to get 20% off any course on my site: BF2023

For those of you who live in the United States, hopefully you enjoyed a nice Thanksgiving with your family yesterday. I know I did; plus, I crashed the neighbor’s party too, so I got twice as full as usual! We also have several other Holidays coming up just around the corner, so Happy Holidays to you all!

Now, many of those who follow me know that I have developed several resources and given many presentations on the CIS Controls in the past. I have also teamed up with Microsoft to create a partner-facing kit that is free and available to the entire partner community. You can pick that up here: https://aka.ms/securepartner

Over the last couple of years as I have been putting more of this material together for Managed Services Providers, I have repeatedly been asked to comment more in depth on each of the controls, including all of the implementation groups (IG1, 2 and 3). The new course is my attempt at answering that request. For those of you familiar with my CIS Controls Assessment Workbook, that also has been updated and expanded as part of this course (the free version is still available elsewhere on this site, and with the partner kit mentioned above).

That’s all I had for now. Cheers!
